March 29th
Ruth E. Cook, 87, of Spencerville, died at 8:45 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 9, 1925, in Bellefontaine, the daughter of Blanche and Harry Patrick, who preceded her in death. She married Robert E. “Jack” Cook, who died March 7, 2006.
She is survived by her extended family, Katie Cotterman, of Spencerville, Greg (Terri) Spence, of Spencerville, Deniese (Alan) Margraves, of Wapakoneta, and Becky (Dave) Brown, of Wapakoneta; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Dorcas Jane(Chapman) Bryan, 83, formerly of Cadillac, Mich., and Cherokee Village, Ariz., passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013, in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Dorcas was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Bellaire, to Dorothy and John Chapman and graduated from Blume High School, in Wapakoneta, in 1947. She married Richard Bryan in 1948, in Wapakoneta, and he preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Johnny, in 2008.
Marcedis Miller, 82, of Wapakoneta, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home in Wapakoneta.
Arrangements are incomplete with the Miller Funeral Homes in St. Marys.
Agnes Louise (Nester) Hines, 90, of Troy, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 16, 1922, in Wapakoneta, to the late Amelia (Eisert) and Frederick Nester. Her husband of 56 years, William E. Hines, preceded her in death on June 1, 2003.
Quinton Charles McLean, 85, of Walled Lake, Mich., passed away Monday, March 25, 2013.
He was born April 5, 1927, in Wapakoneta.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Ruth (Minnich) McLean; three children, Sharon Llewellyn of Rochester Hills, Mich., Stan (Beth) McLean, of Caledonia, Mich., and Darlene (Steven) Mengyan, of Brighton, Mich; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. McLean worked for over 50 years as a Design Engineer in the automotive and aeronautics industry. He was a proud World War II veteran.
March 28th
Richard Bowersock, 92, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Roselawn Manor, where he had resided for the past two years.
He was born May 2, 1920, in Salem Township, Auglaize County, to Viola McMillen and Grover Bowersock, who preceded him in death. On July 1, 1940, he married Dorotha Irene Smith, who died Dec. 6, 2005.
Surviving are three daughters, Konita G. “Connie” Klaus, of Spencerville, Barbara I. Crites, of Spencerville, and Laurie E. Ball, of Spencerville.
March 25th
Darlene E. Petty, 62, of Piqua, died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.
She was born June 9, 1950, in Lima, to the late Eugene and Dorothy (Stover) Hefner. On Sept. 23, 1988, in Troy, she married Darin “Scott” Petty, and he survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Anna (Pat) Gibson, of Wapakoneta; three brothers, Dana (Cheryl)Hefner, of Whitehall, Tony (Vicki) Hefner, of Wapakoneta, and Loren (Kris) Hefner, of Perrysburg; father- and mother-in-law, Mitch and Janice Petty, of Piqua; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; and four God children.
Mary Jo Duckro, 84, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born Oct. 24, 1928, the daughter of Lucille C. (Koch) and Henry C. Nipgen, who preceded her in death. On May 7, 1949, she married Harold G. Duckro, and he died Oct. 26, 2000.
March 22nd
Mary C. Moeller, 82, of Celina, died at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Celina Manor, due to natural causes.
She was born March 30, 1930, in Sharpsburg, the daughter of Louisa (Muhlenkamp) and Edward Feltz, who preceded her in death. On June 2, 1948, she married Louis Moeller, and he died Jan. 29, 1996.
Nichole Lyn Roether, 39, of Lima, died at 12:39 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, in Lima, surrounded by her family.
She was born March 14, 1974, in Lima. Her parents Timothy and Sherrill Satterfield Williams survive in Lima.
Nichole was a graduate of Marimor School and attended the prevocational class at Marimor Industries. Her smile was like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. If you were lucky she might give you one of her special hugs.
