Madeline J. “Maggie” Funk, 90, of Wapakoneta, died at 7:22 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born Jan. 16, 1922, in Lima, the daughter of Ethel E. (Musser) and Cloyd Shellenbarger, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 4, 1936, she married Robert H. Funk, and he preceded her in death Jan. 10, 1982.
January 9th
Charlyine E. Kantner, 88, of Wapakoneta, died at 5:26 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born in New Knoxville, the daughter of Louetta (Wiethoff) and Harold J. Kuck, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 2, 1944, she married Luther R. Kantner, and he passed away on Jan. 25, 2006.
Steven Wayne Leiss, 61, of Quincy, passed away at 4:07 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, surrounded by family and friends at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1951, in Sidney, the son of Lova Ella (Watkins) and Clarence Elmer Leiss. He was preceded in death by his father. His mother survives in Sidney. On Dec. 17, 2010, he married Yvonne Annette Ward Fair, who survives in Quincy.

Charlyine E. Kantner 88, of Wapakoneta, died at 5:26 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, at her residence.

Edith V. ‘Edie’ Jeanneret, 90, ofWapakoneta, died at 10:14 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Lima Memorial Hospital emergency room.
She was born Dec. 11, 1922, in Elida, to Mathilda Miller and Cecil Keeling. On March 11, 1943, she married Rene’ Jeanneret Sr., and he preceded her in death Nov. 23, 1977.
Jerry Wenning, 74, of Van Wert, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Fla.
He was born in Wapakoneta, the son of the late June (Pfenning) and William “Bill” Wenning, who preceded him in death. In Wapakoneta, he married Alice (Oen) Wenning, who survives him in Van Wert.

Nyoka Polly Goble, 64, of Wapakoneta died at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at St. Ritas’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Shrewsbury, W.V., to Ada Esta (Craigo) and Howard Sims, who preceded her in death. On June 15, 1986, she married Wyman L. Goble, and he survives in Wapakoneta.

M. Philena Braun, 81, of rural Wapakoneta, died at noon, Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 18, 1931, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Lylah (Hover) and Carl Minnich, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 28, 1951, she married Irvin V. “Red” Braun, and he died March 6, 2003.
January 3rd
Robert Louis Bowsher, 98, died peacefully Dec. 29, 2012, at St. James Place.
He was born May 21, 1914 in Wapakoneta, the son of Louise (Fisher) and Francis Jacob Bowsher, who both preceded him in death. In 1940, he married his wife of 59 years, Gene Lois Troxel and she preceded him in death.
