Ruth E. Staples, 86, of Wapakoneta, died at 7:42 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at the Lima Memorial Health System. She was born Aug. 24, 1927, in Lima, the daughter of Roy and Cecile (Denney) Brewer, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 23, 1950, she married John A. Staples, and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Guyneth (Dean) Coolidge, of Wapakoneta; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Staples, of Wapakoneta; a granddaughter, Ashlie (Andrew) Casey, of Wapakoneta; three great grandchildren, Lillie, Hannah, and Cole.
Lois J. Ruck, 77, of 17353 Maier-Barber Road in St. Marys, died 8:43 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
She was born August 26, 1936 in Waterville, N.Y. to Albert and Florabell (Carpenter) Tarbox.
On Dec. 22, 1957 at St. Johnâ€™s Lutheran Church in Defiance, she married James R. Ruck, who survives.
Ernestine Rogers Miller, born July 6, 1923, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest J. and Edith Myers Rogers; her husband Harry, and daughter Harriet. She is survived by two sons, Ernest C. (E. C.) and wife Teresa of Lima, Rev. Lowell and wife Susan, of Muncie, Ind., two granddaughters, Christy (Miller) Farrington and husband David of Houston, Texas, Beth (Miller) Rooks and husband Christian of Zephyr Hills, Fla., one grandson, Henry C.
Ned L. Rader, 82, died at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center, Lima.
Ned was born on Monday, May 4, 1931, in St. Johns, to the late Howard RaderÂ and HelenaÂ (Briggs) Rader.Â
Mr. Rader was formerly of St. Johns, Ohio.Â He first married Donna Barnes, in Lima, who preceded him in death.Â On December 28, 1984, in Lima, he then married E. Jean (Kave) Parlette, who survives in Lima.Â He worked as a tool grinder at Ex-Cell-o for 26 years and at General Dynamics for 15 years, retiring in 1994.
Paul A. Wilges, 78, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:50 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born Dec. 31, 1934, in Wapakoneta, the son of Herman and Emma (Bishop) Wilges, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 10, 1958, he married Marilyn W. Binkley, and she survives.
Other survivors include, a son, Kevin Wilges, of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Karen (Bill) Jacobs, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Bill Jacobs III, Brandon Schreiber, and Jessica Jacobs; a brother, Richard Wilges; a sister, Donna Richardson; numerous nieces and nephews.
