Evelyn C. Ewing, 91, of Wapakoneta, formerly of Waynesfield, died at 11:45 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Gardens of Wapakoneta.
She was born March 2, 1921, in Waynesfield, to Sylvia (Bacome) and Hosea H. Horn. Both parents are deceased. On Dec. 24, 1941, she married Albert W. Ewing, and he died May 7, 1982.
Elizabeth Place, 100, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:12 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Wapak Manor Nursing Home in Wapakoneta.
She was born Aug. 15, 1911, in Auglaize County, the daughter of the late Chloe (Pierstorff) and Frank Gibson. On April 3, 1937, she married Bryan Wilbur Place, who died May 16, 2005, after 68 years of marriage.

Dennis âDennyâ Harp, 72, died at 7:43 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2012, at the Ohio State University Hospital, in Columbus.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Armentrout Funeral Home, in Waynesfield.
Elizabeth Place, 100, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:12 p.m., April 1, 2012, in Wapak Manor Nursing Home, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Funeral services will begin 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Charles W. âChuckâ Coates, 89, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at 11:45 a.m. at St. Ritaâs Medical Center, in Lima.
Charles was born March 28, 1923, in Auglaize County to Cleta (Harpest) and Charles Payne Coates. On July 2, 1944, he married Joan K. Klingler and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2003.
He is survived by a son, Wesley E. (Kathy) Coates, of LeGrange; a daughter, Joyce (Robert) Spencer, of Waynesfield; two sisters, Alice WIlliams, of Lakeview, and Lois Ann Lamphar, of Zanesville; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Mary Jones, of Lima.
William A. Bachman, 96, of Christiansburg, passed away at 9:18 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 in Sterling House of Urbana.
Born on Nov. 14, 1915, in Wapakoneta, William was a son of the Agnes (DuVall) and late Rudolf Bachman. He married Mary Alice Berg on Oct. 30, 1941, and they enjoyed 70 years together.
Parker McGlothen, of St. Marys, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at his residence.
Arrangements are being completed with the Miller Funeral Homes in St. Marys.
John D. Flanigan, 64, died at 1:45 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2012, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Allen County on Aug. 27, 1947, to Rosemary (Weber) and Kenneth Flanigan. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Lima. On Dec. 19, 1987, he married Julie Stauffer and she survives in Lima.
Other survivors include a son, Grant D. Flanigan, at home; a daughter, Dawn Lane, of Carbondale, Colo.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kurt Flanigan.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict.
Betty J. Hollenacher, 86, 3625 S. County Road 25A passed away at 1:06 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
She was born June 16, 1925, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of the late Violet (Crouch) and Lawrence Kohler. On Sept. 22, 1946, she married Roland E. Hollenbacher, who preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1992.
Tandy Mullett, 53, of Cridersville, died at 2:39 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born July 31, 1958, the son of Ethel (Ramey) and Dewey Mullett. His mother preceded him in death. His father and step-mother, Dewey and Barbara Jane Mullett, survive in Wapakoneta.
