Clarence William “Bill” Cox, 76, of McGuffey, died at 11:36 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 2, 1936, in Atlasburg, Pa., the son of Hilda Mae Park and Morgan Ulysis Cox. On July 21, 1956, he married Dorothy Wolanski, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel William Cox, of McGuffey, and Timothy Morgan Cox, of Tucson, Ariz.; and two daughters, Valerie Lynn Cox, of Eldon, Mo., and Beverly Ann Roeder of Tucson, Ariz.
Private family services will be held at a later date. No public visiting hours are planned.
Carolyn P. Stirn, 78, of rural Lima, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at St.Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born July 10, 1933, in Wyandot County, the daughter of Marjorie (Buckingham) and Dale E. Parsell. On Aug. 28, 1955, she married Rev. Eldon D. Stirn, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Phillip D. Stirn, of rural Lima; and a daughter, Beth A. Vondran, of rural Lima.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Shawnee Alliance Church, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel H. Messner officiating. Burial will follow at Spencerville Cemetery.
Donna Jacobs, 68, of St. Marys, died Saturday Feb. 4, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Lima.
Arrangements are incomplete with Miller – Long & Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Doreen A. Brewster, 91, 248 Greentree Lane, Bellefontaine, died at 4 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Green Hills Retirement Community in West Liberty.
She was born Aug. 5, 1920, in London, England, the daughter of the late Avis and Thomas Wood. On Aug. 13, 1944, in London, England, she married Fredrick B. Brewster and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Peter T. Brewster, of Zanesfield, and Michael (Terry) Brewster, of Bellefontaine; and a daughter, Judy (Doug Parker) Weber, of Bellefontaine.
Donald “Don” William Yost, 79, of Wapakoneta, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 31, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Ga.
He was born in Pennsylvania, the son of the late Lois (Hess) and Frank Yost. He married Susan Kay McElroy Yost, who survives.
