January 30th
James M. Luneke, 64, 5448 Wilson Drive, Celina, died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 at his residence.
He was born July 31, 1947, in Dayton, the son of Gertrude R. (Raffel) and Carl L. Luneke. On March 11, 1967, in Richmond, Ind., he married Phyllis A. George, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James Luneke, of Dayton, and Tim Luneke, of Dayton; and a daughter Angela (Rodney) Simpson, of Celina.
Bessie Oellerman, 82, of Botkins, died Monday, Jan. 30, 1012, at her residence.

Eileen (Klosterman) Herman, 92, 304 North Wayne Street, St. Marys, died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at her residence.
She was born February 12, 1919, in Montezuma, the daughter of Adelaide (Borgert) and Frank and Klosterman. On November 29, 1945, she married Eugene T. Herman of Celina, who preceded her in death 2002.
John Raesky, 85, of Lima, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 at his residence.
He was born, March 24, 1926, in Wapakoneta, the son of the late Florentina (Sciranka) and Jacob Raesky. On Jan. 31, 1953,
He married Martha Howell in St. John’s Catholic Church in Lima.
Surviving are son, Mark (Robin) Raesky, of Lima; a daughter, Kristen Reynolds, of Lima; three grandchildren, Heather (Perry) Beko, of Fort Wayne, Ind., Nicholas Reynolds, of Lima, and Jacob Raesky, of Lima; and a brother, Anthony Raesky of Lima.
Barbara E. Huber Roof, 70, of Columbus, passed away Saturday night, Jan. 28, 2012, at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born May 12, 1941, in Bellefontaine the daughter of the late Eva Mae Miller and John Frederick Huber.
K. Lenore Shappell, 99, of Cridersville, died at 9:57 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Sept. 22, 1912, near Lafayette to Vera Gladys Hefner and Charles Varian Guthrie, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 17, 1940, she married Adrian Eugene Shappell and he preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1971.

K. Lenore Shappell, 99, of Cridersville, died at 9:57 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, with the Rev. David Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Paul E. Cales, 71, 11190 Schroeder Road, Lot 13, St. Marys, formerly of Dayton and Sidney, died unexpectedly at 6:56 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born April 11, 1940, in Greenup, Ky., the son of Esta (Henson) and Henry Cales. On June 4, 1988, he married Bobbie Sue Neth and she survives at the residence.
John Ernest Henry, 87, of Lima, died at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at his residence.
He was born July 23, 1924; the son of Lois Carlous and George Henry. On Oct. 31, 1942, he married Freda A. Davis, who survives in Lima.
Also surviving is a son, Daniel J. “Dan” Henry, of Lima; and a daughter, Sarah Rose Kuhns, of Lima.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, with the Rev. Terry Davy officiating. Burial will follow in Shawnee Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by VFW Post 8445.
Wilbur W. Warner, 90 1110 Nagel Street, St. Marys, died at 9:07 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born Nov. 19, 1921, in New Bremen, the son of Flora (Lutterbein) and Raleigh Warner. On June 4, 1949, he married Jean Blank and she survives at the residence.
Also surviving is a daughter, Mary Bell, of Evanston, Ill.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Edwin Warner.
