January 27th
Fred Aukerman Jr., 81, a resident of Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, formerly of Findlay, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Wabash, Ind., the son of Fred H. B. and Ruby (Keefer) Aukerman. On June 5, 1955, at Oak Grove Church of God in Columbia City, Ind., he married Arline E. Hawn, and she survives at the residence in St. Marys.
Also surviving are two sons, Hugh Aukerman, of Celina, and Roger Aukerman, of Normal, Ill.; and a daughter, Betty Kennedy, of Wooster.
Albert W. Allenbach, age 82, of Lima, died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Wyngate Senior Living Center in Lima.
He was born Feb. 10, 1929, in Holmes County, the son of Marie Mishler and Christian Allenbach. On Feb. 14, 1953, he married Dorothy J. Urwin, who survives in Lima.
Surviving are three sons, Chris Allenbach, of Lima, Keith Allenbach, of Gahanna, and Brian Allenbach, of Lima; and two daughters, Linda Wilkerson, of Sagamore Hills, and Debora Gray of Navarre.
Byron Lloyd Parlette, 75, of Longview, Wash., passed away Nov. 23, 2011, at his home.
He was born Nov. 12, 1936, in Uniopolis, the son of the late Opal (Spees) and Lee Parlette. In 1960, he married Glenna Adkins, who passed away in 1975.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Bell, of Corinth, Maine, and Barbara (Carl) Diebler, of Bucyrus; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.; two sisters, Judy (James) Stingel, and Joan (Dean) Bussart; and two brothers, Gordon L. (Virginia) Parlette, and Jack (Mary) Parlette.
Ruberta C. Hemmert, 88, of rural Botkins, died at 4:43 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 2, 1924, in Rhine, the daughter of Alvina (Greve) and Peter Steinke, who preceded her in death. On June 10, 1943, she married Elmo Edward Hemmert, and he survives.

Wilbur Warner, 90, of St. Marys, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
Arrangements are incomplete with the Miller Funeral Homes in St. Marys.
Nick High Jr., 85, of Lakeview, died at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Lima.
He was born June 7, 1926, in Ada, the son of Lavaun (Hauenstein) and Nick High. On June 14, 1951, he married Shirley Thompson and she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Nick Steven “Steve High, of Belle Center, Michael “Mike” High, of Lakeview, Patrick “Pat” High, of Lakeview, and Christopher “Chris” High, of Columbus Grove.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles “Charlie” High.
William H. D’Addurno, 61, 615 N. Vine St., St. Marys, died at 9:06 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born April 2, 1950, in Trenton, N.J., to Elsie (Blom) and William D’Addurno. On Sept. 18, 1998, in Fort Wayne, Ind., he married Norma Jean Hall, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jessica D’Addurno. of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Moss-Feaster Serenity Gardens in Largo, Fla.

Betty A. Bowersock, 84, 1321 Celina Road, St. Marys, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 17, 1928 in St. Marys, to Mary (Ruperd) and Ralph McElroy. On Jan. 21, 1949, in Celina, she married Norman R. Bowersock, who died March 23, 2007.

The Rev. Donald E. Davis, 86, of Celina, died at 7:24 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at Mercer County Health in Coldwater.
He was born Nov. 4, 1925, in Celina, the son of Mable (Gaus) and Russ Davis. On May 8, 1947, he married Virginia L. Grunden, who survives.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tess Ann Davis.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina, with the Rev. Rick Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Ellis Cemetery in Montezuma.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.

Evelyn E. Grimes, 88, 106 W. Spring St., New Knoxville, died at 12:42 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at the St. Marys Living Center following a sudden illness.
She was born Nov. 3, 1923, in New Knoxville, the daughter of Meta Rose (Hartung) and William Harmeyer. On Nov. 12, 1941, she married Dales Grimes Sr., and he survives in New Knoxville.
Aalso surviving are three sons, Dale Grimes, of Vandalia, Robert Grimes, of St. Marys, and Dean Grimes, of Clarksville, Tenn.; and two daughters, Linda Everest, of Grand Blanc, Mich. and Pamela Ausland of Fort Wayne, Ind.
