Claude Cass Telles IV, of Defiance, died at 4:48 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born July 4, 1954, in Lima, the son of Faye Ella (Hissong) and Claude Cass Telles III. His mother survives in Banning, Calif.
On July 4, 1974, he married Pamela Fay Murray who survives in Defiance.
Surviving are two sons, Claude Cass Telles VV, of Archbold, and James Richard Telles, of Defiance.
Services are at 7 p.m. today at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville. Cremation will follow the services.
Iris Ann Burwell, 102, formerly of Wapakoneta, and a longtime resident of the St. Marys Living Center, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born Feb. 2, 1909, in Lima, the daughter of Lillian (Burton) and Daniel Armentrout. On May 2, 1927, she married Guy Burwell and he preceded her in death in October 1993.
Surviving are a son, Lowell Burwell, of Liberty, Ind.; a daughter, LaDonna (Paul) Kogge, of St. Marys; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Cole L. Hiestand, 10, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 12:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, following a courageous 15-month battle with aplastic anemia.
He was born Sept. 9, 2000, in Lima, the son of Carrie (Bowman) and Jonathan Hiestand, who survive in Wapakoneta.
