Elbert L. Baird, 88, of 11309 Bobwhite Lane, in St. Marys, died at 12:39 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, in Lima.
He was born Jan. 25, 1923, in Old Washington, to Vera A. (Boyd) and Charles M. Baird.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Dorcas (Woolley) Baird; and a wife, Marjorie (Potter) Hammann-Baird.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral rites are scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Monday at Meyer Community Chapel of Otterbein – St. Marys, with the Rev. Dennis Gaertner officiating. Burial is to follow at the Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia.

Bernard I. Schweitzer, 81, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:05 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born May 2, 1930, in Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, the son of Lucille (Steinke) and Alfred Schweitzer, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 25, 1955, he married Virginia Gerstner, and she survives.
