This Saturday, the Downtown Wapakoneta Partnership (DWP) is hosting an informational meeting regarding the Facade Improvement Program.
The meeting will start at 9 a.m. at the Eagles building located at 25 E. Auglaize St. and breakfast will be available for purchase for those interested.
Chairman of the Façade Improvement Program, Sue Siesel said the primary focus of the program is to maintain some of the qualities downtown Wapakoneta has to offer.
In the face of a pandemic, how prepared is Auglaize County? That is the topic of conversation between county health, law and safety agencies as they anticipate an upcoming Northwestern Ohio widespread disease, mass fatality exercise.
“We put together a planning committee to design the exercise,” Auglaize County Health Commissioner Charlotte Parsons said about the health departments and hospitals in the 18-county region.
The planning began in November 2013.
State Representative Jim Buchy (R-Greenville) and State Senator Cliff Hite (R-Findlay) spoke about the benefits of Senate Bill 150 yesterday at the monthly Auglaize County Ag Breakfast.
The bill, which is jointly sponsored by Hite and Senator Bob Peterson (R-Sabina), was designed to address agricultural nutrient runoff into Ohio waterways and algae problems in Grand Lake St. Marys and Lake Erie.
