Students jump for heart health

Students at Cridersville Elementary School will be celebrating their valentines a little bit differently this week, with a focus on heart health and awareness.

Jump Rope for Heart is a fundraising program that schools throughout the country are getting involved in to help educate youth about the importance of exercise and heart health.

“It’s heart month. It’s Valentine’s Day, so it all kind of goes together,” Physical education teacher and guidance counselor Jill Stubbs said.

District creates new teaching position

Wapakoneta City Schools has created a new faculty position in order to better meet the educational needs of their students.

The title of the position is “differentiated instruction coach,” and is unique in that there has never been a position like this before at WCS.
