A 2012 Wapakoneta High School graduate earned a top 10 finish last weekend competing for Miss Ohio.
Gaining support of the White House, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and labor unions as well as bipartisan support in the Senate, Republican U.S. Sen. Rob Portman voiced discouragement and frustration his E-Verify amendment was not brought to the floor for debate and thus failing to be included in the bill on immigration reform passed Thursday.
Portman’s E-Verify amendment would enhance protections against identity theft and fraud, strengthen photo tool effectiveness and data privacy protections and protects employers who seek to comply in good faith.
WAYNESFIELD — Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officials announced this week the agency has approved a $130,775 interest-free loan to the village of Waynesfield, allowing officials to start developing a plan for the project.
The village is planning a $1.5 million improvement to its wastewater treatment system,which is mandated by the EPA.
Waynesfield Mayor Mike Ridenour said the city will contract with Fanning-Howey and Associates to do the engineering on the project.
