The Auglaize County Health Board approved another deposit to its salary reserve fund.
Auglaize County Health Commissioner Charlotte Parsons said the $5,000 will be added to the fund, which they try to keep between $15,000 and $20,000 to pay out of for retirees who have accumulated vacation or sick leave.
During Tuesdayâ€™s meeting, Parsons said in the past they have had to pay out as much as $16,000 upon the retirement of a long time employee who had maxed out sick and vacation leave.
As the way people gather information changes with technology, so does the way information is offered to the public.
â€śWe have seen the need for people to access the same kind of data through their smart device,â€ť Auglaize County Geographic Information System (GIS) Director Joe Collin said.
In response, he developed a new online mapping application â€śappâ€ť to be used on those smart devices, from phones to tablets.
â€śWe felt a need to create an application that would work on more than the basic computer with the emergence of mobile devices,â€ť Collin said.
Thefts were reported from three vehicles parked at homes on Lambert Road, St. Marys, during the weekend.
Bradley Keller, 40, 15238 Lambert Road, reported having a $50 pair of binoculars, $30 in cash, $5 in change, and four boxes of ammunition valued at $28 taken from his vehicle.
According to a report from a deputy with the Auglaize County Sheriffâ€™s Office, the items were taken from a 2005 Chevrolet parked in a detached garage. No force was used to gain entry to the vehicle.
The theft occurred between 10 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.
