3 write-ins on ballot

With three candidates officially running as write-ins in Tuesday’s general election, voters have been curious how to properly cast ballots in their favor.
Auglaize County Elections Board Director Michelle Wilcox explained that the ballot has a space on it that says “write in” followed by a line, on which the candidate’s name should be written. An oval beside “write-in candidate” must also be filled in to indicate a desire to vote for that person.

Traditions keep Fall Fest alive

CRIDERSVILLE — Halloween creatures paraded Cridersville in a search for candy and family fun during the annual Fall Festival and parade Monday night.
Locals crowded East Main Street to get a glimpse of the businesses and organizations participating in the parade. More than 200 parents and children followed the parade back to the Cridersville Fire Department, where the facilities hosted the annual costume contest and fall festivities. 

Animal ordinance tweaked

WAYNESFIELD — Property owners and Waynesfield village officials continue to disagree over a proposed ordinance on eventually eliminating farm animals within the village limits — with those grandfathered prior to its passage being required to register the land where the animals live instead of the animals themselves.
