After four months on the job, the new director for the Auglaize County Veterans Services Commission has submitted his resignation.
Pat Krendl, who officially took over the post the first week of January, submitted his resignation letter April 23 informing Veterans Services Commission Board members of his decision, effective the same day.
Area residents in need of help for home projects can call the The Wapakoneta Area Ministerial Association (WAMA) — as the organization’s members recently announced they will participate in the third annual Servants Day.
Servants Day is set for Sept. 22, the fourth Saturday in September, with a rain date set for the next Saturday, Sept. 29.
Unemployment rates tumbled by 0.5 percent in March, placing Auglaize County among the lowest in the state.
In data released by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Auglaize County registered an unemployment rate of 6.4 percent, down from 6.9 percent in February. That figure placed Auglaize County as one of eight counties statewide to have an unemployment rate of less than 6.5 percent. Last year in March, the unemployment rate sat at 7.8 percent.
