A group of residents living in a local apartment complex joined together to provide a Back to School Bash for children in the community.
“It’s the first year for us to try something like this,” Valley View Volunteer Program President Jennifer Young said.
Just a couple months into its inception, residents have used the program to get those living in the complex to become part of a larger community, starting with flower plantings and cookouts and then into the back to school bash, which they hope serves as a building block for more plans in the future.
WAYNESFIELD — An issue over selecting new employee health benefits seemed to be finally settled only after a flurry of questions resulted in an Auglaize County village’s elected officials postponing the decision temporarily once again.
Applications are currently being accepted for a class that is designed to help community members have a better understanding of Auglaize County.
“The main purpose of the program is to provide people with a greater understanding of county operations and services in the county,” Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dan Graf said.
