Named for his son, Jarett Jones opened up his shop on Nov. 1, 2008.
Jones is the owner of AMJ Skateshop, located at 34 E. Auglaize, a store that focuses on selling skateboards, parts, apparel and occasionally a BMX bike or two.
AMJ stands for Anthony Michael Jones, Jones’ 11-year-old son; the name also represents Anthony’s paternal and maternal sides of his family.
A Wapakoneta High School senior who attained a perfect score on his ACT and is involved in numerous extra-curricular activities was named the Auglaize County Franklin B. Walter All Scholastic Achievement Award winner at its annual banquet at WHS on Wednesday.
George Jose was chosen out of six area school districts to represent the county at a student recognition luncheon in Columbus on April 9. One student from all 88 counties in Ohio will be represented.
Mike E. Cope, 57, of Cridersville, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 30, 1956, in Lima, to Daniel H. and Icie Irene Fickle Cope, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Cope was a member of VFW Post 1275 and American Legion Post 96. Â He served in both the U.S. Army and Navy.
