Peter M. Frame, 53, of Granville, died on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at his home.
He was born Nov. 26, 1959, in Lima, to Jane (Thuma) and late Arthur Frame.

New salary table OK’d

The Wapakoneta City Schools District is operating under a new administrative pay schedule and three hourly supervisors have been shifted to that salary-based schedule.
Wapakoneta City Schools Board of Education unanimously approved a new salary schedule for “other administrators” during Tuesday’s meeting at Wapakoneta High School and moved Maintenance Supervisor Steve Heitz, Transportation Supervisor Dave Tangeman and Food Service Supervisor Lori McKean to the schedule.

U’polis rushes changes to ballot

UNIOPOLIS — Uniopolis Village Council members adopted a resolution accepting changes to ballot language for a 10-mill property tax levy during a special meeting held Tuesday.

Redskins score fast in 8-1 win over Pioneers

The Wapakoneta Redskins used a fast start on a warm night to earn an 8-1 win Tuesday over the Temple Christian Pioneers in a non-league varsity boys soccer game at Ryan Field.

“We started off pretty fast. We kind of kept going from there,” Wapak varsity coach Keith Rambin said Tuesday. “We got a lot of younger kids some playing time tonight. That’s always important.”

Wapak’s first goal of the game came 36 seconds into the first half, as freshman Alex Lause scored on an assist from Sam Hinegardner.

Wapak blanks Kenton, 7-0, in WBL for 3rd straight SO

The Wapakoneta Redskins blanked their third straight opponent with a 7-0 win over the Kenton Wildcats in a Western Buckeye League varsity girls soccer match Tuesday in Kenton.

Wapak’s shutout Tuesday against Kenton followed ones against Fort Jennings and St. John’s.

The win gave the Redskins a 4-0 start to their season and a 1-0 record in WBL play.

Botkins drops Spencerville, 3-0

The Botkins Trojans came away from their road game against Spencerville with a 3-0 victory Tuesday in a non-league varsity boys soccer contest.

Kaleb Hanby recorded Botkins’ first goal and assisted on the team’s second goal, scored by Eric Egbert on a corner kick.

Caleb Will notched Botkins’ third goal on an assist by Aaron Schipper.

Tuesday’s win gave the Trojans a 2-0-1 record on the season.

Botkins will next play Tuesday at Miami East.

Russia drops Botkins, 3-0, in SCAL opener

The Botkins Trojans dropped their league opener Tuesday in a 3-0 defeat to the Russia Raiders in a Shelby County Athletic League varsity volleyball match at Russia.

Tuesday’s match scores were 25-19, 25-21 and 25-19.

Allison Guckes led Botkins with 32 digs Tuesday. Denise Schwartz had nine kills, and Jocelyn Counts tallied nine assists.

The loss gave Botkins a 2-3 overall record with a 0-1 mark in SCAL play this season.

New Bremen crushes Waynesfield-Goshen, 195-262

The New Bremen Cardinals crushed the Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers, 195-262, in a varsity girls golf match Tuesday at Arrowhead Golf Club in Minster.

Chelsea Spencer led W-G with a nine-hole score of 54.

Kennedy Rumer (63), Kiersten Wilcox (72) and Danielle Heintz (73) finished the Tigers’ scoring. New Bremen was led by Rachel Parker’s 42.

The loss put W-G’s season record at 3-3.

The Tigers on Friday pulled out a 233-239 win over Fort Recovery at Prairie View Golf Club in Waynesfield.
