The Wapakoneta Theatre Guild is getting ready for their annual spring performance by scheduling a casting call.
Audition dates for the spring production of “A Night in the Theatre” are scheduled to be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday on the second floor of the Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce building, 30 E. Auglaize St.
The play calls for two couples of indeterminate age, with the possibility of extras with non-speaking roles.
Entries are being accepted for several displays and competitions to be held during this year’s Waynesfield-Goshen Muchinippi WinterFest.
Scheduled for March 8 and 9, in the Waynesfield-Goshen School auditeria, the annual event features a wide array of activities for all ages.
WinterFest, which is a revival of an old community tradition, is the only fundraiser for the Waynesfield-Goshen Muchinippi Community Theatre and is become a fundraising forum for other community groups as well.
Mary M. Jolly, 85, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:56 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health Care System.

Iva D. Eder 68, of Wapakoneta, died at 4 a.m. today, Feb. 20, 2013, at her residence.

Mildred A. â€śMillieâ€ť Swaidner, 96, died Jan. 27, 2013.
Services are at 3 p.m. Friday at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, with the Revs. Cheryl Siegenthaler and Rob Fulton officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mary Lou Schumann, 82, of Botkins, died at 1:08 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born July 26, 1930, in Celina, the daughter of Mary (Rupert) and Ralph McElroy, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 29, 1971, she married Melvin Schumann, and he survives in Botkins.
Preliminary plans for the reconstruction of West Auglaize Street are to be completed so city legislators, a city board and residents can review them before they are sent to the state for approval, Wapakoneta’s mayor said during and after Monday’s Wapakoneta City Council meeting.
Auglaize County Public District Library Board members met in special session Monday to begin laying out the process for replacing a long-time employee.
Dana Webb, a 15-year employee for the board, announced she is leaving her position as fiscal officer for the library district. Webb accepted a position with Wapakoneta City Schools, where she will process payroll for the school district. Her last official day will be March 15, but her last day of work due to vacation days will be March 8. She is scheduled to start her new position with the schools on March 11.
The Wapakoneta Sertoma Club is hosting its 38th annual Chili Day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
“Hopefully the weather will be cooperative,” event chair Ralph Miller said. “Its for a great cause. It is for a great cause and the people of Wapakoneta have always been supportive of the event.”
Calvin H. Katterhenry, 96, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:25 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born Jan. 21, 1917, in New Knoxville, near Carter Creek, the son of Elizabeth (Hinze) and Jacob W. Katterheinrich, who preceded him in death.
