Area fire burns home, claims pet

A house fire early Tuesday morning in New Hampshire claimed the life of at least one family pet, but all three occupants of the residence were able to get out safely.

Despite the talk of impending doom by most economic experts, a Fifth Third Bank chief market strategist says leading national and international indicators point to a strengthening U.S. recovery.
John Augustine, who manages approximately $25 billion in assets for the Fifth Third Bank, discussed 10 macroeconomic factors and six market observations as well as two recommendations for the future during a speech Tuesday sponsored by the Wapakoneta Area Economic Development Council.

Fire hits Fryburg home

FRYBURG — A home fire resulting in a total loss for a family of eight in Fryburg has resulted in an outpouring of help for the family.
Nancy and Chad Steinke’s 14-year-old son, Levi, was the only person awake in the residence at 11:38 p.m. Sunday playing video games when he noticed an orange glow coming from the kitchen. His immediate response possibly saved the family from losing any one of its members.
