New hire likely

An increase in traffic and after hours callouts have prompted the need for another full-time employee at the Neil Armstrong Airport.

“We need another full time person here,” said Neil Armstrong Airport Manager Sean Stroh, who is the only full-time employee of the airport now. “Over the last couple years we’ve had a steady increase of traffic plus after hour callouts, which are hard to schedule using just part time help.

LGF has same percentage split, but amount decreased

The percentages of distribution remain the same for Auglaize County government entities, but the amount they are getting through Local Government Funds has been almost cut in half.

The Auglaize County commissioners recently approved an alternate plan of distribution for Local Government Funds and local government revenue assistance funds as proposed by the county’s budget commission.

The time is right to put on those dancing shoes.

The eXtreme Dance Center, based in Bellefontaine, has opened a studio in Wapakoneta and is accepting new recruits wanting to learn a variety of dance styles.

Chrissy Dunifon, one of the instructors and manager of the Wapakoneta site, said the time seemed right to begin offering dance lessons at the facility at the former Dodge City.
