July 12, 2013

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — MRI results will keep Brian Garman shelved indefinitely, as the testing revealed a slight tear in his labrum.

The Wapakoneta native has been on the disabled list since June 24. He is a relief pitcher for the Double-A Huntsville (Ala.) Stars in minor league baseball, an affiliate of MLB’s Milwaukee Brewers.

“My doctors said the slight labrum tear is not consistent with a pitcher’s injury and that it’s probably an injury from football,” Garman said. “The doctors said they don’t even think (the tear) is the cause of my pain.”
