Ronald E. Harruff, 43, of Wapakoneta, died at 4:27 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the scene of an auto accident on State Route 501, north of Wapakoneta.

Brown takes aim at China

Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown is reintroducing a bill this week which is again aimed at countering the economic harm to U.S. workers and manufacturers caused by foreign countries manipulating their currency.
The Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act of 2013 would provide consequences for countries that fail to adopt appropriate policies to eliminate practices to manipulate their currency, which artificially decreases the price on exports to the United States and increases the cost of American made goods imported by those countries.

Portman attacks child sex traffic

Children forced into sex trafficking would no longer be treated as criminals but as victims if a bill co-sponsored by Republican U.S. Sen. Rob Portman is passed.

Wapak man dies in crash

A 43-year-old Wapakoneta man died from injuries suffered in a three-vehicle crash near the intersection of Ohio 501 and Wapakoneta-Buckland Road, north of Wapakoneta.
Ronald Harruff was pronounced dead at the scene by Auglaize County Coroner Dr. Thomas Freytag after the three-car crash at approximately 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
