Before the Rev. Becky Sunday spoke on the topic, “He was cut off…” she read a few words from the Passion.
This chapter in the book of John talks about the events leading up to Christ’s death and resurrection.
“Jesus said ‘I am thirsty,’” Sunday read during the Wapakoneta Area Ministerial Association Good Friday Lenten worship at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. “So sour wine was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it up to Jesus’ lips.”

Their plans were interrupted Monday by a spring snowstorm which blanketed the area with more than half-foot of snow. With the day off, they walked from their cabins at the KOA to the Armstrong Air & Space Museum and a local restaurant before returning to their cabins.
