CRIDERSVILLE — Elected officials in a northern Auglaize County village are talking about potentially raising the water rates on their residents.
Finance Committee and Utilities Committee members met last week and informed Cridersville Village Council members Monday on the status of a possible water rate hike.
“At our joint committee meeting we discussed the future rates for water and the possibility of increasing them,” councilor Paul Lynch, who chairs the Utilities Committee, said. “There was no decision at that time.”

Mildred F. Steele, 86, of Wapakoneta, died at 4:33 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born Nov. 17, 1926, in Pineville, Ky., the daughter of Sarah (Partin) and Luther Evans, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 25, 1953, she married Earl âBudâ Gannon, and he died Sept. 9, 1961.
Irene I. Lunz, 90, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:55 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born June 12, 1922, in New Bremen, the daughter of Lydia Elizabeth (Schneider) and Glendor Charles Jung, who preceded her in death. On June 12, 1946, she married Elmer A. Lunz, who died July 24, 1973.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane E. Lunz, of Wapakoneta; a son, Donald R. Lunz, of Ottawa; two sisters-in-law, Louise Jung, of Wapakoneta, and Sue Jung, of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Homer W. âPeteâ Helmlinger, 91, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Auglaize Acres.
He was born Jan. 3, 1922, in Auglaize County, the son of Malinda (Knarr) and William S. Helmlinger, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 16, 1945, he married Cleola Carter, and she survives. They just celebrated 68 years of marriage.
