Buckland area and rural residents in the surrounding townships will have the chance to get more information on the possibility of a renewable energy plant being built in the area.
U.S. Mainstream Renewable Power Inc., headquartered in Chicago, recently completed preliminary studies for the project, which would have portions in the village, as well as parts of Duchouquet, Logan and Moulton townships.

Anticipating the possibility that teachers with Wapakoneta City Schools may strike, school administrators are making plans to keep schools open and continue to educate students.
Wapakoneta City Schools Superintendent Keith Horner told the Wapakoneta Daily News on Friday administrators have been spending a great deal of time preparing for a possible strike.
Richard Lee â€śDickâ€ť Wills Sr., 80, of Portland, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, in Portland, Texas.
He was born Jan. 1, 1932, in Wapakoneta, the son of Bessie Darst and James Pete Wills. He married Dee Wills, who died Jan. 19, 2002 after 47 years of marriage.
One-by-one the shots rimmed out, clanged off and missed their mark.

A dismal fourth-quarter shooting performance doomed Wapakoneta in a 51-43 loss to the Celina Bulldogs in a Western Buckeye League varsity girls basketball game Thursday at Wapakoneta High School.
Wapak fell to 5-5 overall and 2-2 in the WBL. Celina is 8-3 and 3-1.

Myriam S. â€śMimiâ€ť Rhodes, 72, of Lima, died at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at her residence.
She was born May 31, 1939, in Boston, the daughter of Martha L. (Goldman) and Daniel Meyers. She married James E. Rhodes, who died in 1994.
Surviving are a daughter, Pamela L. Moore, of Columbus; and a son James E. Rhodes, of Ottoville.
Services are at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Couser officiating. Burial is to follow at St. Matthews Cemetery.
The Rev. Joan Diane Spade, 70, formerly of Botkins, died Saturday Jan. 7, 2012 after a brief illness at St. Marys Living Center in St. Marys.
She was born on Dec. 31, 1941, in Oxford, to Dorothy and Charles Spade.
Private family services will be held. Burial will follow at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford.
Arrangements are being handled by Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Frances C. Keysor, 93, formerly of 17674 Moulton-Fort Amanda Road, Wapakoneta, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home.
She was born March 9, 1918 in Plymouth, Mich. the daughter of Mary (Knuth) and Daniel Miller, who preceded her in death. She married J. Delmar Keysor, who is deceased..
Rogene C. Lehman, 81, of Plumwood, died at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, in Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
He was born June 26, 1930, in Auglaize County, the son of Lura (Clay) and Stanley Lehman, who preceded him in death. He married Dorthy Purdum, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Bryce Richard Lehman, of Columbus; a brother, Jerry (Sue) Lehman, of Wapakoneta; two nephews, Jay (Cindy) Lehman, of Wapakoneta, and Jeff (Jennifer) Lehman, of California; a niece, Jennifer Lehman, of Wapakoneta; a great-niece and two great-nephews.
Robert J. Badertscher, 60, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at the Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born Dec. 29, 1951, in Bluffton, the son of Ruth (Drury) and Loraine Badertscher, who preceded him in death.
Herbert Wayne Brookhart, 90, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born June 9, 1921, in Auglaize County, the son of Ethel (Burnfield) and Dorwin Brookhart. On April 14, 1946, he married Betty A. Hixenbaugh, and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Dennis (Cheryl) Brookhart, of Dallas, Texas, Roger Brookhart, of Charlotte, N.C., Gordon (Tammy) Brookhart, of Westerville; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Cecil and Ralph Walther.
