Sherri Lynn (Cotter) Butts, 56, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Waynesfield, died at 4:48 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, in Van Wert.
She was born March 15, 1956, in Lima, the daughter of Pauline (Duff) and Jack Cotter, who survive in Waynesfield.
Henry A. Miller 78, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health Systems in Lima.
Arrangements are incomplete at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Wapakoneta.
Despite this being an election year when most members of Congress and the president concentrate on the campaign trail, one U.S. senator from Ohio plans to continue to focus on getting passed legislation to help the American economy.

Anticipating a brighter outlook for Auglaize Countyâs financial future, several area economic development officials requested a substantial increase in funds from the county commissioners to promote county economic growth.
Auglaize County election officials are urging citizens to register to vote or update their existing voter information as soon as possible.
“This year is a unique year for elections in Ohio,” Auglaize County Elections Board Director Carolyn Campbell. “Each registered voter in the state will be receiving an application to vote by mail. However, in order to receive the application, our Board of Elections must have a voter’s current registration information.”
Unemployment rates across the region tumbled in May.
According to data released by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Auglaize County registered an unemployment rate of 5.5 percent in May, a decrease from 5.9 percent in April. That figured ranked the county six-lowest in the state and among seven that recorded a figure at or less than 5.5 percent. Last year, the county had an unemployment rate of 7.5 percent.
ST. MARYS — Less than 24 hours after a drifting boat touched off a search for a missing boater, the body of a 59-year-old man was found near Riley Bay in Grand Lake St. Marys.
The body of James Price was found near Riley Bay Wednesday afternoon — less than a day after emergency personnel started searching for him after his 22-foot pontoon boat was found adrift Tuesday night. Price’s body was found near where his boat was located.
The emergency response coordinator for the Auglaize County Health Department recently earned certification from an international board.
Don Jump recently earned the certified healthcare emergency professional (CHEP) designation from the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers (IBFCSM). He had to meet educational, experience and examination requirements set forth by the board to earn the master level designation.
CELINA — A boat found adrift on Grand Lake St. Marys Tuesday night sparked a search for a missing person that continued this morning.
Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Watercraft spokesperson John Wisse said officials received a report early Tuesday evening that an officer found a vacant boat adrift on the lake. Evidence found on the boat led to a search for a missing person — a 57-year-old male who was reportedly fishing on the 22-foot pontoon boat earlier in the day.
Benjamin F. Yale, better known as Ben, always wanted to be in a position to help out.
Yale died at 11:58 p.m. June 13. The Waynesfield native had his hands involved in a lot of activity in the area.
However, Yale often operated behind the scenes and did not want any attention to himself, friends say. It was that trait, a quiet humbleness, they say that made him so well known.
