Virginia L. Strader, 85, of St. Marys, died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born Oct. 18, 1927, in St. Marys, the daughter of Sarah (Moser) and John Jacobs. On Aug. 25, 1956, in St. Marys, she married Joseph M. Strader, who died February 13, 2009.
Services are at noon Friday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
Jeanne A. Campbell, 56, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:23 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health Systems in Lima.
She was born March 20, 1956, in St. Marys, to Leah (Settlage) and Lester Kruse. Her mother preceded her in death and her father survives in New Knoxville. On Aug. 28, 1976, she married Rodney Campbell, who also survives in Wapakoneta.

When you’ve thrown 44 straight scoreless innings, people start to notice.
Wapakoneta Redskins southpaw Johnny Crawford received that notice when the All-Western Buckeye League baseball and softball honors were released Tuesday.
Crawford was the lone Redskins baseball player to be selected to the first team. The junior pitcher has not given up a run since a 7-2 win over Greenville on Tuesday, March 27.
Only one meet separates a select group from a trip to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus.
More than a dozen area athletes secured their places in the regional track and field meets based on their performances in the district meets last week.
The Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers lead the way with six athletes in 12 events qualifying.

Michael D. Elliott, 64, of Jackson Center, passed away Saturday evening, May 19, 2012, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
H3 was born Sept. 7, 1947, in Sidney, the son of the late Opal Kies and Russell Elliott. On Sept. 29, 2001, in Jackson Center, he married the former Cindy Temple, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Todd Elliott, of Cincinnati; a daughter, Chasidy Miner, of Cridersville; and three grandchildren, Abby Elliott, TC Elliott and Makayla Miner.
