Alice M. Bowersock, 73, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
Arrangements are incomplete at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta.

Murlin Doseck, 78

Frances Bowling, 73

Frances “Frankie” Bowling, 73, 125 East Bank Road, St. Marys, died at 3:03 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born July 17, 1938, in Wayland, Ky., the daughter of Sarah (Banks) and Roy Lykins. On July 20, 1957, in Rockholds, Ky., she married Frank Bowling, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mike Bowling, of Mendon, and Tim Bowling, of St. Marys; and a daughter, Cindy Gayer, of St. Marys.

Robert Nagel, 83

Robert S. Nagel, 83, of New Bremen, died at 1:02 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Lima.
He was born July 23, 1928, in Minster, the son of Odillia (Schwieterman) and Charles Nagel. On April 7, 1951, he married Donna L. Donnerberg who survives in New Bremen.

WHS told make wise choices, not waste time

Making wise choices and the most of one’s time were reoccurring themes during Wapakoneta High School’s commencement on Saturday.

During the ceremony, 190 students met the necessary requirements to receive their diplomas, with 65 earning honors diplomas and 24 recognition as graduates of distinction.

BOTKINS — Smiles  beamed amid a few tears and hugs as 48 students closed one chapter in their lives and are preparing for the future that lies ahead of them.

The class of 2012 at Botkins Local Schools celebrated their graduation on Sunday at the 102nd commencement ceremony.

WAYNESFIELD — Valedictorian Nathan Turner ordered a turning of the tassle, and with it 42 Waynesfield-Goshen High School senior completed a chapter of their lives and were announced the graduating class of 2012.

“I want you to look around and remember this moment, said Ivy Horn, another of three valedictorians. “Remember when we walked in in kindergarten and we were scared of the uncertainties — and now we leave with the same feeling.”

As the Wapakoneta Redskins head to the state baseball final four on Thursday, junior Johnny Crawford and sophomore Chace Culver have proven to be that combination.
