CELINA — The investigation into a double homicide and home invasion in Mercer County continues.
In a news release, Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said the investigation into the homicides of Robert Grube and Colleen Grube on Nov. 29 and 30, near Fort Recovery, and the home invasion of Kathy and William Fair, near Mendon, are still being investigated. The two cases have not been linked although there are several similarities to the crimes.
Victor L. McKinney, 63, 430 Huffman St., St. Marys, died at 10:15 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2012, at Golden Living Center -Valley.
He was born July 25, 1948, in Celina, to Gladys (Coil) and Raymond McKinney. On Oct. 3, 1993, in Waynesfield, he married Leslie Rone, who died Oct. 18, 2011.
He is survived by his sister, Janet White, of St. Marys.
Funeral rites are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ross Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Keith Stoller officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, near Moulton.
Rita Jean Wilfong, 63, of Holt, Mich,, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at her residence.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta.
Other arrangements are incomplete at the funeral home.
Bernard “Bernie” D. McCarty, 84, of Wapakoneta, died 12:42 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at the Wapakoneta Manor.

Marcille M. Cole Oakman, 85, of Wauchula, Fla., formerly of Waynesfield, died Monday, March 5, 2012, at her residence.

Linda Lou Luke, 62, of Cridersville, died at 12:47 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born June 8, 1949, in Celina, the daughter of Mary Ellen Wallace and Robert E. Minnich, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 10, 1973, she married Robert Dean Duke, who died Feb. 9, 2001.
Surviving are a brother, Robert (Carla) Minnich, of New Bremen, and three nephews, Austin J. Minnich, of New Bremen, Mitchell R. Minnich, of New Bremen, and Spencer W. Minnich, of New Bremen.
She was a homemaker and a 1967 graduate of New Bremen High School.
Doris E. Miner, 92, of Lima,, died at 10:14 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, at Lost Creek Care Center in Lima.
She was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Drakes Mills, Pa., to Dora (Medley) and Irvin Hornaman, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 5, 1942, she married Arthur C. Miner and he died Aug. 7, 1987.

NEW BREMEN — An Auglaize County girl, with connections to Wapakoneta, recently finished in second in a state-wide free throw shooting contest in Columbus.
Kelly Naylor, 11, a fifth-grader at New Bremen Elementary School, hit 15-of-25 free throws in the Elks Hoop Shoot contest to finish second state-wide.
“I am happy I made it that far,” the fifth grader said.
It was purely by accident that Kelly found her talent at hitting free throws.
