Alma Anna (Feil) Camper, 103, of Wapakoneta, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, at The Gardens, Wapakoneta. She was born April 9, 1908, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Anna (Aufderhaar) and William Feil.
A 1925 graduate of Blume High School, she was the last surviving member of her class. After graduating high school, she went to business college and worked as a secretary in Lima.
On Dec. 26, 1926, she married Floyd (Sam) Camper, and he passed away Jan. 23, 1986.
Kathleen Y. Gossard, 64, 1025 Edwards Street, St. Marys, died suddenly at 8:35 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born Aug. 30, 1947, in Celina, the daughter of Betty Lou (Schroer) and Norbert Steineman. On June 8, 1968, she married David Gossard, and he survives at the residence.
Also surviving are two sons, Brian Gossard, of St. Marys, and Paul Gossard, of St. Marys; and two daughters, Carolyn (Douglas) Bader of St. Marys, and Angela Gossard, of Saint Marys.
Virgil C. Behr, 63, 333 Concord Avenue, St. Marys, died at 9:55 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at his residence.
He was born July 14, 1948, in Sidney, to Rita (Greve)and Wilbur Behr.
On April 15, 1978, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Cranberry Prairie, he married Patricia A. Dorsten, who survives.
Carol J. Selhorst, 84, 522 Western Ave., St. Henry, died at 11:35 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born July 19, 1927, in North Star to Zita (Grilliot) and Leo Stammen. On Sept. 10, 1949, in North Star, she married Bernard Selhorst, and he preceded her in death Nov. 07, 2002.
Marjorie Maxine (Fogt) Smallwood, 82, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:10 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, at her residence.
She was born April 7, 1929, in St. Marys, the daughter of Eva (Phillips) and Clarence Fogt, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 10, 1948, she married Ray M. Smallwood, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara Ann (Michael A.) Selby, of Moulton, and Betty June Smallwood, of Ludlow Falls; four grandsons, Shane Selby and fiancĂ©e, Todd Selby, Chad (Amy) Selby, and Michael J. (Heather) Selby, and six great-grandchildren.

Joey Jose captured one title in 2005. His younger brother, George Jose, retained the Lima regional spelling bee crown three times inn 2007, 2009 and 2010. Now the crown has been defended by LeeAnn Jose, who won the title for her first time in 2011, won again Saturday at Rhodes State College.
For the sixth time in eight years, one of the Joses captured the Lima regional bee after winning in their hometown, Wapakoneta, prior to the competition.
The county’s top medical professional espouses a very simple idea, but one that can make all the difference — exercise with arthritis.
Auglaize County Medical Director Dr. Juan Torres said while exercise is important to a wide variety of people for just as many reasons, it’s especially important to the 50 million suffering from arthritis, inflammation of joints, which causes pain, swelling, stiffness and limited movement.
