KENTON â Anyone who thought the Wapakoneta Redskins varsity wrestling team was in a rebuilding season might want to reconsider that notion.
Wapak continued its dominance of Western Buckeye League Wrestling with a sweep of dual meets against the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans and Kenton Wildcats on Tuesday at Kenton High School.
The Redskins thumped O-G 60-15 before crushing Kenton 69-12.
The wins lifted Wapak to 9-0 in WBL duals for the season.
The Redskins have not lost a WBL dual since the 2008-09 season. They are 27-0 over the past three seasons and 35-1 over the past four.
Nancy Horner, 71, of St. Marys, died Monday January 30, 2012, at Van Wert Manor Nursing Home.
Arrangements are being completed with the Miller Funeral Homes in St. Marys.
Bessie R. Oellerman, 82, 206 E. State St. in Botkins, OH died 1:20 a.m. Monday Jan. 30, 2012, at her residence.
She was born June 19, 1929, in Salem Township. in rural Auglaize County, to Bessie Mae (Toler) and John Francis.
On April 14, 1956, she married Warren âGeneâ Oellerman, who died Jan. 11, 2002.
Judy Kay Gross, 62, of 15140 Valley Road, Wapakoneta, Ohio, died 5:44 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima.
She was born Dec. 24, 1949, in Lima, the daughter of the late Onolee (Miller) and Woodrow Piehl.
Beverly June Farmer, 75, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:40 a.m., Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at her sonâs residence in Pres-cott, Ariz. She was born June 17, 1936, in Lima. She is the daughter of Kumah (Koneta Fast) and James E. Anspach. Both parents are deceased.
Ms. Farmer was a retired key punch operator with Lima Memorial Hospital. She was a former member of the Forest Park United Methodist Church and had belonged to the Shawnee Nation â United Remnant Band. She loved to travel and was an avid card player. She had a real zest for life and enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends.
