The Neil Armstrong Airport plans to file a pre-application for more than $600,000 in construction funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Auglaize County Airport Manager Sean Stroh said the pre-application, approved by the Auglaize County commissioners, serves as a placeholder for funding from the FAA and is something they put in for every year to cover annual projects.
A possible case of voter fraud is being turned over to the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office to investigate.
Auglaize County Elections Board Director Carolyn Campbell said in reconciling signature books after the Nov. 6 presidential election, they came across an incident of possible fraud where a voter cast ballots twice — once in the wrong precinct and once in the right precinct.

Edward F. Doseck, 86, of Cridersville, died at 9:42 a.m. Dec. 12, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born in Auglaize County to Viola E. (Bishop) and Benjamin F. Doseck, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 19, 1945, he married Jean Maxine Hartman, who survives in Cridersville.
Twilia L. Elsass, 69, of rural Anna, died at 11:46 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.

Walter J. Overholser, 76, of Indian Lake, passed away peacefully Dec. 10, 2012, after a courageous 2 1/2-year battle with cancer.
He was born April 1, 1936, in Piqua, to the late Josephine (Lindsay) and Everette Overholser. On April 27, 1995, at Myrtle Beach, S.C., He married his loving wife of 17 years, Carol Jean Thrush Turner, who survives.
