Dorothy Berg, 86, of Naples, Fla., died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012.

Ruth L. Walther, 94, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at her residence.
She was born May 15, 1918, in Duchouquet Township, Auglaize County, the daughter of Edith (Mosler) and Isidor Schneider, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 14, 1941, she married F. Dean Walther, and he died Feb. 13, 1995.
Billy E. Bush, 87, of rural New Knoxville, died aat 1:12 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born June 22, 1925, in Lima, the son of Charlotte (Rosell) and Everett Bush, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 22, 1944, he married Rose Mary Siegel, and she died March 19, 2004.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Chris) Bush, of Lima, and Thomas Bush, of Stacy, Minn.; a daughter, Susan (James) Manbeck, of New Bremen; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Congress and newly re-elected President Barack Obama must place a priority on finding common ground to avoid the “fiscal cliff,” the Republican U.S. senator from Ohio says, and just as important is to build the framework for the future to deal with the nation’s underlying budget problems.

Local royalty, a figure skater and a professional baseball player are to be available for a meet-and-greet and autograph signing session during the Children’s Hometown Holiday in Wapakoneta scheduled for Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Dec. 1, six queens and a Double AA professional baseball player will be available to meet the public and sign autographs of pictures, baseball cards and other memorabilia. From noon to 1 p.m. Dec. 1, a local figure skater will join the other seven.

Beatrice “Bea†Everhart Behr, 93, of Fryburg, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born March 28, 1919, in Green County, Tennessee, the daughter of Lillie P. (Stroud) and James F. Gillette, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 6, 1937, she married Paul T. Everhart, and he died Nov. 9, 1984. On May 1, 1999, she married Wilbur C. Behr, and he survives.

Connie Brincefield, a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at The Gardens of Wapakoneta, terms her career in nursing as a calling and could not imagine doing anything else. Brincefield recently attended the Ohio Assisted Living Association (OALA) Convention earlier this month and was honored with the award of “Nurse of the Year.”
