Beatrice Caroline Cummings, 95, of Cridersville, formerly of Waynesfield, Wapakoneta, and Winterhaven, Fla., died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Otterbein-Cridersville.
Services are at 5 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Paul Raymond Bowers, 43, of Russells Point, passed away Saturday night, Oct. 6, 2012, at his home.
He was born Jan. 31, 1969, in Jeffersonville, Ind., the son of to Mary Jane (McCubbins) and Ralph A. Bowers, who survive in Russells Point.
Edwin Eugene Springer, 65, of Wapakoneta, entered eternal life at 2:44 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at this residence. The Lord surely said, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Eddie was born Jan. 10, 1947, in Celina, the son of Martha (Dennings) and Charles Springer, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 4, 1967, he married Shirley (Cook) Springer, who survives in Wapakoneta.
Warren Walter Loy, 88, of Hunstville, formerly of Botkins, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 1, 1924, in Kettlersville, the son of the late Laura (Sollman) and Walter Loy. On Sept. 21, 1947, at the Sidney First Methodist Church, he married Jeanne Ferguuson Loy, who survives.

The rain held off on a dreary day as 75 people Sunday made the trek and completed the mile-and-a-half walk at the eighth annual CROP Walk for Hunger, which started at St. Paul United Church of Christ.
The event, which had been held on Saturdays and used to begin at Miller’s Corral, was moved to Sundays a few years ago in an effort to attract more participants. Event volunteer Darrel Acker said the move has seemed to pay off. The event has always been held in the fall season.
BUCKLAND — The Buckland Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary held a quarter auction to raise money for the department’s auxiliary fund Saturday.
Overall, approximately 25 donated items and 100 items overall were auctioned off to approximately 125 people in attendance. Of the 125 or so bidders, mostly women, even a few men got into the mix.
