BASKETBALL: 'Skins survive Celina

January 14, 2012

CELINA — Wapakoneta Redskins coach Matt Bradley watched as his team’s lead shrank at break-neck speed.

But it never disappeared. Not completely.

Bradley’s Redskins held on for a 53-52 win in a Western Buckeye League varsity boys basketball game Friday at the Celina Fieldhouse after they built a 20-point first-half lead then watched as Celina cut it to one-point by the end of the third quarter.

Celina had three opportunities to take the lead in the final minute but failed to convert on each.
