Scott K. Murray, 81, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 31, 1929, in Bluffton, the son of Ethel (Scoles) and Nile Murray, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 8, 1948, he married Patricia J. OâBrien, and she died July 18, 2005.
With a difficult Western Buckeye League schedule looming on the horizon, Doug Frye could easily be forgiven for overlooking Week 1 opponent Bellefontaine.
But the second-year Wapakoneta Redskins football coach is not a man who is easily distracted.
Just ask Mrs. Frye.
âOne time, about 15 years ago, when I was at Danville High School, we were playing in a tight game, and there was a skydiver that came down on the field that was supposed to hit Mount Vernonâs field and hit Centerburgâs field,â Frye said.
